Dr. Adriana Martinez is an Associate Professor of Music at Eureka College, specializing in American music and its role in shaping national and transnational identities. She holds a PhD in Musicology from the Eastman School of Music (University of Rochester, 2009), an MA from the same institution (2000), and a BA in Music (Voice) from the University of Charleston (1998).
Her research focuses on music’s influence on national identity in Latin America and the U.S., particularly through binational cultural processes.
