Jonathan Head is a Lecturer in Philosophy at Keele University's School of Social Sciences. He serves as UG SSVC Subject Convenor for Philosophy and PGR Student Experience Lead. With a BA from Oxford, MPhil from Warwick, and PhD from Keele, his expertise spans early modern philosophy, Kantian philosophy, and philosophy of religion. He holds a Diploma in Education and Training and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
His research focuses on early modern thinkers like Anne Conway, Kant's philosophy of religion, and Schopenhauer's metaphysics. Teaching modules include Medieval Philosophy, Knowledge and Reality, and Life, Death and Faith. He also contributes to the Metaphilosophy module for MRes students.
His publications explore topics such as Conway's theology, Kant's response to the Pantheism Controversy, and Schopenhauer's esoteric influences. He actively supervises PhD students in early modern philosophy, Kantian studies, and philosophical theology.
