Dai Heide is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Philosophy and Associate Dean, Learning and Teaching, in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at Simon Fraser University. He holds a PhD from Ohio State University (2010) and a BA from Northwestern University (2003). His research focuses on Kant’s metaphysics and epistemology, particularly transcendental idealism, freedom, and rationalist philosophy in early modern and contemporary contexts. He teaches courses on 17th- and 18th-century philosophy, metaphysics, and the philosophy of religion.
