Jonathan A. Grant is a Professor of Modern Russian History at Florida State University. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin in 1995 and is the author of several books including Between Depression and Disarmament: The International Armaments Business, 1919-1939 (Cambridge University Press, 2018).
His research explores global arms trade networks, Russian business history, and military conflicts. He teaches courses on Russian history, World War I, Central Asia, Balkan history, and trafficking history. He directs FSU's Holocaust Institute for Educators, providing professional development for K-12 teachers.
Awards include:
- Undergraduate Professor of the Year for Florida (Carnegie Foundation, 2008)
