Jonathan Faiers

Professor Jonathan Faiers is a leading academic at the Winchester School of Art, part of the University of Southampton. He specializes in Fashion History and Theory, Textile History, and Cultural Materiality, with a focus on intersections between dress, popular culture, and mainstream cinema. His research explores textiles as both cultural symbols and contested materials, particularly in subcultural contexts.

Current research includes interdisciplinary studies of tartan's global significance and fashion's cinematic representation.
