معرفی
Jonathan Coleman is a Senior Lecturer in Statistical Genetics at the Social, Genetic and Developmental Psychiatry (SGDP) Centre, King's College London. He holds a PhD in Natural Sciences and has expertise in psychiatric genomics, polygenic risk scores, and genetic epidemiology of mental health disorders. His research focuses on translating statistical genetic findings to understand biological mechanisms in psychiatric disorders like PTSD, depression, and bipolar disorder.
- Education: PhD in Natural Sciences from the SGDP Centre.
- Affiliations: SGDP Centre, King's College London; Principal Investigator on NIH-funded PTSD research.
Research interests include applying polygenic risk scores to biological phenotypes, integrating biological data with statistical methods, and genetic studies of psychiatric disorders. His work has contributed to over 120 peer-reviewed articles. He collaborates globally and leads projects funded by NIHR, Medical Research Foundation, and UCB Pharma. Recent studies explore genetic relationships between depression and Alzheimer's, and genetic architectures of bipolar disorder. Projects include clinical drug development using polygenic scores and PTSD genetic consortium research.
He has contributed to datasets like latent class analyses of UK Biobank data and is a Co-Investigator on major initiatives such as the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre.
