Jonathan Boen is an Adjunct Professor at Roosevelt University's Chicago College of Performing Arts, specializing in horn performance. He has held the position of Principal Horn at the Lyric Opera of Chicago since 1979 and the Grant Park Orchestra since 1998, securing these roles at the age of 22. A celebrated performer, Mr. Boen is known for his lyrical interpretations in brass playing and has appeared as Guest Principal Horn with the Dallas Symphony, Santa Fe Opera, and Milwaukee Symphony Orchestras.

As a chamber musician, Jon Boen has collaborated with ensembles such as the Chicago Chamber Players, Rembrandt Chamber Players, and MusicNow. Mr. Boen has premiered works like Aaron Jay Kernis' Legacy and Jan Bach's Horn Concerto, the latter of which was recorded and released on Equilibrium Records in 2006.
