Jonathan Adler

Dr. Jonathan Adler holds positions as Visiting Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Professor of Psychology at Olin College of Engineering. He also serves as Chief Academic Officer at Health Story Collaborative, a nonprofit integrating personal narratives into healthcare.

His research examines how personal narratives shape identity development and psychological well-being, particularly during health challenges. His work explores narrative construction in psychotherapy, identity integration after acquired disabilities, and mental health disparities during crises like the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dr. Adler develops narrative assessment tools and examines how storytelling affects therapeutic outcomes. His recent work focuses on disability experiences, posttraumatic growth, and ableism in healthcare settings.
