John W. Mayo is a Professor and Elsa Carlson McDonough Chair in Business Administration at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, and Executive Director of the Georgetown Center for Business and Public Policy. His expertise spans Industrial Organization, Regulatory and Antitrust Policy, and Applied Microeconomics. With over 100 journal articles and monographs, he has authored a seminal textbook on regulation and antitrust. He has held senior administrative roles, including Dean of the McDonough School of Business, and served as a Visiting Scholar at UC-Berkeley and Stanford University. His testimony before Congress and regulatory bodies addresses monopolization, price fixing, and mergers. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Washington University in St. Louis and an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Basel (2007).
