John Taylor is a Professor at the Northumbria Law School and Emeritus Professor of Clinical Psychology in the Faculty of Health & Life Sciences at Northumbria University. He is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Approved Clinician with Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne & Wear NHS Foundation Trust. Holding chartered status in clinical and forensic psychology, his roles include Chairing the British Psychological Society’s Mental Health Act Advisory Group and Approved Clinician Peer-Review Panel. He previously served as Past President of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) and Chair of the BPS Faculty for Forensic Clinical Psychology.
