Dr. John Reams serves as Provost and Professor of Music at Shorter University in Rome, Georgia, where he teaches clarinet, saxophone, and woodwind methods within the School of Fine & Performing Arts.
Dr. Reams' professional interests center on Woodwinds Performance and Music Education, with specialized expertise in Clarinet and Saxophone. His career spans both academic and professional performance domains, maintaining an active presence as a performer while overseeing academic operations as Provost.
Dr. Reams has held significant orchestral positions including with the Savannah Philharmonic and Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra, and has performed regularly with numerous other symphonies across the United States including the Midland-Odessa Symphony, Abilene Philharmonic, and Peoria Symphony Orchestra.
