John Nordyke

John Nordyke serves as Professor of Visual Communication Design at the Hartford Art School within the University of Hartford. He holds an MFA in Graphic Design from Rhode Island School of Design and a BA in Graphic Design and Art History from Purdue University. His professional background includes design work for prominent brands and institutions, with summer studies at Yale University's design program in Brissago, Switzerland.

Nordyke's creative practice spans graphic design, typography, and visual communication systems. His award-winning work has been recognized by major design organizations and exhibited internationally. Research interests include typographic innovation and visual narrative development across media formats.
