Mangonon's professional focus centers on advancing tuba and euphonium repertoire through commissioning works by underrepresented composers, while maintaining active performance in chamber settings including the Navy Band Tuba Euphonium Quartet. His dedication to music education spans K-12 instruction at Cazadero Music Camp (2016-2021) and university-level masterclasses nationwide.
As a performer-educator, he leverages platforms at Towson University and the Navy Band to pioneer diverse musical voices, with primary mentorship from Dr. Aaron Tindall, Dan Perantoni, and Sérgio Carolino.
