John Hennecken is the Music Program Director and Associate Professor of Music – Theory and Composition at St. Norbert College. He holds a D.M.A. from the University of Georgia, alongside a M.M. and B.A. from Georgia institutions. His work focuses on orchestration, composition, and contemporary classical music.

- Research Interests: Composition for orchestral and chamber ensembles, timbral exploration in music, and pedagogical approaches to music theory.
His compositions have been performed globally by ensembles like the Takarazuka City Symphony Orchestra and Atlanta Wind Symphony. He is Composer in Residence with the MODular Ensemble.
