John Helferich is a final-year DPhil candidate and non-stipendiary lecturer in Politics at Hertford College, University of Oxford. His research focuses on European defense integration, particularly analyzing the social motivations behind transformative phases of the EU’s Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP). He holds an MA in International Security (summa cum laude) from SciencesPo Paris.
