John Fyler is a Professor of English at Tufts University's School of Arts and Sciences, based in East Hall, Medford. He has been teaching at Tufts since 1971 and holds the rank of Professor since 1988. His academic journey includes roles at the Bread Loaf School of English (since 1995) and the 92nd Street Y (2022–2023). Fyler specializes in Chaucer, medieval literature (including Dante and the Roman de la Rose), Latin classics, biblical commentary, and gender studies in medieval texts.
