Conan Griffin

Conan Griffin is an Instructor III in the Department of Language & Literature at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU), part of the College of Arts & Sciences. With over 10 years of service, he focuses on first-year student success through courses taught in residential dorms as a Faculty Fellow. His work emphasizes the transition from high school to college life, integrating mindfulness and community-building in pedagogy.

Education: M.A. in English (FGCU) and M.Litt. from Middlebury College's Bread Loaf School of English. Research interests include translating medieval and early-modern texts by Chaucer and Shakespeare into modern English, alongside pedagogical innovations for humanities education.

Publications include a recent Brill-published translation of Chaucer's Boece. Awards include the Seidler Fellowship and recognition for service contributions to FGCU Housing. He teaches courses such as Composition I/II, Professional Writing, and Introduction to Literature/Humanities.
