Julianna Griffin

Julianna Griffin is an Instructor III in the Department of Language & Literature and the Department of Integrated Studies at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU), affiliated with the College of Arts & Sciences. She holds an M.A. in English from FGCU. Her primary discipline is writing pedagogy, with a focus on guiding students to connect personally through written expression. She integrates contemplative practices like mindfulness and meditation into her coursework, emphasizing holistic student development. Notably, she received funding through the Honors College’s Roots of Compassion and Kindness (ROCK) initiative. Courses taught include Composition I, Composition II, Contemplative Writing, and Understanding Kindness, Compassion & Empathy. Outside academia, she enjoys travel, gardening, and spending time with her family.
