John D. Ashcroft is a Distinguished Professor in the School of Law and Government at Regent University. Former U.S. Attorney General (2001-2004), he previously served as Missouri Governor (1985-1993), U.S. Senator (1995-2001), and state Attorney General. His career spans law enforcement leadership, policy innovation, and legal education. He holds a J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School and an A.B. from Yale University.
Research focuses on law, public policy, national security, and constitutional issues. Notable works include Never Again on post-9/11 security strategy and Lessons from a Father to His Son on ethical leadership. Co-authored major Law for Business textbooks.
