Dr. John Chappo serves as a full-time Assistant Professor of History within the School of Sciences, Humanities & Visual Communications at Pennsylvania College of Technology, teaching courses including World Civilization I/II, U.S. History from Colonization to 1877, Technology and Society, and Civil War and Reconstruction. He actively develops hybrid/online course modalities and contributes to institutional committees such as Student Affairs.

His scholarly work centers on American historical narratives, with specialized expertise in technological evolution's societal impact and Civil War-era transformations. Current projects examine military history applications through his finalist status in Gettysburg National Military Park's battlefield guide licensing program.
