John Chang, MD, is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Yale School of Medicine, specializing in nephrology and cardiovascular health. His roles include Chair of the Flow Committee at VA Connecticut Healthcare System and membership in multiple clinical and research committees. He holds an MD from Yale University (1999) and completed residency and fellowships at Yale-New Haven Hospital and VA Connecticut Healthcare System.
His research focuses on cardiovascular aging, blood pressure variability, hypertension genetics, and hospitalized patient care. Notable projects include studying potassium binder safety, long-term blood pressure trends, and SGLT2 gene polymorphisms' role in hypertension. He has authored/co-authored over 9 peer-reviewed articles in journals like Journal of General Internal Medicine and Journal of Hypertension.
