Dr. Melissa Perkal is an Associate Professor of Surgery (General, Trauma & Surgical Critical Care) at Yale School of Medicine and holds roles as Assistant Chief of Surgery and Director of the Surgical ICU at the Connecticut Veterans Affairs Hospital. Her expertise spans surgical critical care, geriatric surgery, and health disparities research. She earned her MD from George Washington University and completed residency and fellowship training at Yale University School of Medicine.
