Professor John Buchanan is a prominent academic at the University of Sydney, specializing in labor economics, employment policy, and workplace health. He has held roles such as Director of the Workplace Research Centre (2005–2014) and is currently Network Leader for the Health and Work Research Network. His research focuses on labor market dynamics, inclusive growth, and the intersection of work and wellbeing. Buchanan holds degrees from ANU (BA LLB GradDipEcon) and a PhD.
