John B. Duggan serves as Dean of the Leo J. Meehan School of Business at Stonehill College, appointed in April 2024. Previously, he held multiple roles since joining Stonehill in 2014 including teaching fellow, assistant professor, associate professor of business law, chair of the Department of Business Administration, vice president of the Faculty Senate, and interim dean. He was instrumental in securing AACSB International reaccreditation for the business school in 2017 and 2022, placing Stonehill among the top 6% of globally accredited business programs.
His educational credentials include:
- B.A. in Political Science and Philosophy from Assumption College
- J.D. from Suffolk University School of Law
Duggan's research focuses on business law frameworks, with particular expertise in legal environments affecting business operations, estate planning mechanisms, and corporate formation strategies. His scholarly work has been published in the Business Law Review, reflecting his integration of practical legal experience with academic rigor. He maintains active engagement with legal practice through pro-bono services for non-profit organizations and client advisory work.
