Eric Bellone is an Associate Professor and Graduate Program Director in the Department of Political Science & Legal Studies at Suffolk University. He holds a JD from the University of New Hampshire Law School, a PhD from Northeastern University, and both MA and dual BS/BA degrees from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell.
His research explores the intersection of technology and legal systems, with emphasis on alternative courts (particularly drug courts), legal education reform, and corporate personhood. His work addresses how technological innovations reshape judicial processes and pedagogical approaches in law.
Recent publications focus on legal research pedagogy and corporate entity rights, reflecting consistent themes in educational methodology and business law theory. His pending NSF grant investigates video technology's impact on bail hearing decisions.
