Johanne Clouet

Johanne Clouet is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law, Université de Montréal, and an Associate Professor at the Institute of Science, Technology and Advanced Studies of Haiti (ISTEAH). She serves as Director of the Master's Program in Notarial Law and is affiliated with the Jean-Louis Baudouin Chair in Civil Law and the ADAJ (Access to Justice) Research Group.

Research Interests focus on Family Law, Children's Rights, and Legal Rights of Persons, particularly in contexts of multi-parenting, medically assisted procreation, and gender transition. Her work explores intersections between Quebec civil law and international family law, emphasizing child welfare and judicial decision-making.

Recent publications and presentations highlight AI in judicial processes, reforms to family courts, and cross-cultural family law analysis. She has organized international conferences comparing French-Quebecois family law and co-developed research on youth justice and alimony frameworks.
