Johan Wengman is a researcher at the Department of Psychology, Uppsala University, specializing in Developmental Psychology. His work focuses on early childhood development, particularly the interplay between language acquisition, cognitive milestones, and parental behaviors.
His research interests include Developmental Psychology, Child Development, and Parent-Child Interaction. He applies methodologies from Cognitive Development and Social Development to investigate how parental support influences early vocabulary growth.
Johan co-authored the 2025 publication Developmental Relationships Between Early Vocabulary Acquisition, Joint Attention and Parental Supportive Behaviors in Infancy, which examines the dynamics of communication skills, social interaction, and educational psychology.
