Johan Högman is a Senior Lecturer in Sport Science at Karlstad University with a focus on physical activity and inclusion among children. He holds a PhD in Educational Work (2021) and has collaborated extensively with municipalities, sports federations, and the Västra Götaland Region. His work emphasizes qualitative methodologies and bioecological theory.

Teaching responsibilities include courses in health coaching, physical education teacher training, and the 'Children in Motion' master's program. He has been recognized with the 2022 SCIF Prize for Younger Researchers.
