Pia Nordgren is a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Librarianship, Information, Education and IT, Department of Educational Work, University of Borås. She holds a PhD in Linguistics from the University of Gothenburg (2016) and has a background as a licensed speech and language therapist. Her research focuses on child language development, language didactics for younger ages, and special education in pre-school, school, and special school settings. She currently serves as Director of Studies for the Pre-School Teacher Education Programmes. Her work emphasizes evidence-based practices for pupils with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum conditions. Her publications include studies on prosody in children with ASC, inclusive education frameworks, and teaching methodologies in special needs education.
