Joel Eckert is an Adjunct Professor at Lipscomb University's Department of Law, Justice & Society since 2009. He is also a partner in the litigation group at Bradley Arant Boult Cummings, specializing in business, healthcare, and special education litigation. He holds a JD from Vanderbilt Law School (2006), where he was a member of the Vanderbilt Law Review.
His teaching focuses on courses such as Society and the Law, Sports Law, and Senior Research Project. His research interests intersect legal analysis with societal issues in business regulation, healthcare systems, and educational policy.
Outside academia, Eckert serves on the Board of the Both Hands Foundation, a nonprofit supporting adoption, and maintains hobbies including tennis, Indiana Basketball, and backyard obstacle course design.
