معرفی
Dr. Jodie Hay is a Research Fellow at the University of Glasgow's Paul O'Gorman Leukaemia Research Centre within the Institute of Cancer Sciences (College of Medical, Veterinary & Life Sciences). Based at Gartnavel General Hospital in Glasgow, her research bridges molecular oncology and translational hematology with significant contributions to chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) pathogenesis.
Her primary research interests include:
- B-cell receptor (BCR) signaling pathways in leukemia
- RUNX protein-mediated oncogenesis
- mTORC1 signaling in disease progression
- Hematopoietic stem cell microenvironment engineering
- CLL tumor microenvironment interactions
Current funding includes a Tenovus Scotland grant (2022-2024) investigating BCR signaling effects on the CCR4/CCL22 axis in the CLL microenvironment. The lab maintains strong clinical connections through Gartnavel General Hospital and collaborates extensively with immunologists, bioengineers, and epidemiologists.
Technical expertise centers on:
- Subcellular fractionation of primary leukemia cells
- Nuclear/cytoplasmic protein trafficking analysis
- BCR pathway characterization
- Stem cell niche modeling
