Jodi Cartwright is a Senior Teaching Fellow at the University of Southampton, specializing in International Music Management education. She teaches modules including Music Management Fundamentals, Artists and Repertoires, and Global Music Industries. Her work integrates over a decade of experience in live music touring and artist management, emphasizing practical industry knowledge.
Her research interests focus on the impact of international political/cultural dynamics on artist tour planning, alongside evolving copyright law, trade regulations, and technological advancements in the music sector. Jodi's teaching incorporates real-world case studies from her career managing global tours and navigating industry shifts.
Professionally, she managed The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, overseeing performances at venues like the Royal Albert Hall and Carnegie Hall, as well as international broadcasts. She also directs Terraform, a light art installation group collaborating with major events like London Lumiere and Ministry of Sound.
Jodi holds an MA from Solent University and continues to contribute to the music industry through her dual role as an academic and active professional.
