Professor Jochen Leidner is a Visiting Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Sheffield and a Research Professor for Explainable and Responsible AI at Coburg University of Applied Sciences, Germany. He has held leadership roles including Director of Research at Thomson Reuters and Refinitiv, and has founded companies like Polygon Analytics and KnowledgeSpaces. His academic background includes degrees from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, University of Cambridge, and a PhD in Informatics from the University of Edinburgh.
Research focuses on AI ethics, natural language processing, information extraction, and geoinformatics.
