Jocelyn Poe is an Assistant Professor in the Department of City and Regional Planning at the College of Architecture, Art, and Planning, Cornell University. She is also the Director of the Reparative Praxis Lab and founder of SaHA Planning Studio, LLC, where she integrates theory and practice to advance reparative planning and community healing.

Her research centers on social justice, equity, and the role of planning in communal trauma and healing. She develops reparative praxis frameworks using transdisciplinary and qualitative methods, with a focus on Black communities, participatory planning, and spatial justice. Her work challenges traditional planning paradigms and advocates for healing-centered, community-driven processes.
Her recent publications explore themes such as communal trauma, reparative methodologies, feminist planning practices, and urban design justice. These works reflect a strong interdisciplinary trend, bridging planning theory, critical race studies, public health, and feminist epistemologies to reimagine just urban futures.

Jocelyn advises emerging scholars and leads the Reparative Praxis Lab, fostering collaborative research on dismantling structural racism and advancing care-based planning. Her work is supported by community-engaged grants and institutional fellowships, including her role as a Provost Faculty Fellow at Cornell. She is actively shaping the next generation of planners through innovative pedagogy in reparative methodologies.
