Jocelyn Dautel is a Reader (Associate Professor) in the School of Psychology at Queen's University Belfast and Fellow of the George J. Mitchell Institute for Global Peace, Security, and Justice. She directs the Kids in Context Research Centre, focusing on child development in divided societies. Her research spans mitigating polarization, social identity formation, and promoting intergroup connections through mixed-methods approaches. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from Bucknell University (2005), M.A. (2007), and Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from the University of Chicago (2013). She has secured grants including the International Dissertation Research Fellowship and led projects like 'Developing Belief: The Development and Diversity of Religious Cognition and Behavior'. Her teaching includes modules on global goals and applied developmental psychology.
