Jocelyne Cesari Botman holds the Chair of Religion and Politics at the University of Birmingham (UK), serves as a Senior Fellow at Georgetown University's Berkley Center, and is the T. J. Dermot Dunphy Visiting Professor of Religion, Violence, and Peacebuilding at Harvard Divinity School. She earned her Ph.D. from Université de Provence Aix-Marseille 1. Her research bridges religion and politics, focusing on political Islam, democracy, gender, and comparative religious movements.
