Dr. Joanne Mac Mahon is a Lecturer in Environmental Engineering at University College Cork (UCC), specializing in sustainable and climate-resilient water systems. She holds a PhD in Environmental Engineering from Trinity College Dublin and an MSc in Development Studies from University College Dublin (UCD). Her research focuses on optimizing decentralized wastewater treatment systems, climate change adaptation, and wastewater-based epidemiology for disease surveillance.
