Joanna Ruocco

Joanna Ruocco is Associate Professor of English in Creative Writing, Co-Director of the Dillon Johnston Writers Reading Series, and Chair of the Editorial Board for Fiction Collective Two. Her creative and scholarly work explores innovative fiction, cross-genre texts, popular romance, and narrative theory through experimental forms.

Her publications include critically acclaimed fiction under her name and pseudonym Joanna Lowell, blending historical romance with literary experimentation. Works such as The Duke Undone (2021) and Artfully Yours (2023) examine gender dynamics and social constraints through innovative narrative structures.

As editorial board chair for Fiction Collective Two, she supports avant-garde literary production. Her experimental works like The Week (2017) explore temporal perception and minimalist prose, expanding fiction's formal possibilities.
