John Colasacco is a Part-Time Lecturer in the Department of Writing Studies, Rhetoric, and Composition at Syracuse University's Arts & Sciences school. He holds a BS in Advertising and an MFA in Creative Writing from Syracuse University. His academic interests span Creative Writing (Poetry, Fiction, Hybrid Forms), Translation, Visual Art and Rhetoric, Commercial Art, Film, Publishing, Social Justice, and the Avant-Garde.
His publications include The Wagners (2019), Two Teenagers (2016), The Information Crusher (2016), and Antigolf (2015). These works explore surrealism, existential themes, and narrative innovation. He has received the Iowa Review Award in Poetry. His writing often blends experimental prose with philosophical inquiry, reflecting a commitment to pushing literary boundaries.
He teaches courses such as WRT 104, 105, 114, 205, 195, 422; ETS 145, 151, 107, 303; and TRM 500. Collaborations with artists are encouraged, as noted in his public email.
