Joanna's artistic research explores the interplay of line, form, and system dynamics, particularly focusing on homeostasis, entropy, and equilibrium in living, open systems. Her work in clay captures the elegance of (dis)order and the regenerative processes within small-scale structures. She draws inspiration from natural systems and the passage of time, translating these into dynamic visual forms.
Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, and she was honored as the 2016 NCECA Emerging Artist, a significant recognition in the ceramics community.
