Joanna Baynham

Dr. Joanna Baynham is the Director of ITE Quality Assurance and Ofsted Compliance at Manchester Metropolitan University's Faculty of Health and Education. She leads the PGCE Secondary Geography programme and has extensive experience in teacher education, including roles as PGCE Secondary Programme Lead and partnership tutor. Her research focuses on professional knowledge for geography teachers, recruitment into teaching, and technology-enhanced learning.

Education: BA (Hons) Geography, PGCE Geography, MEd Teaching and Learning, EdD (Thesis: Professional knowledge needs of student geography teachers).

Professional affiliations include the Geographical Association and Chartered College of Teaching.
