Joann Arce

Joann Arce is Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School and Lead of the Data Management and Analysis Core in the Precision Vaccines Program at Boston Children's Hospital.

Her research employs systems immunology approaches to investigate vaccine responses across the lifespan. Current projects focus on neonatal immunity, differential vaccine responsiveness, and age-specific immune programming.

Recent work utilizes multi-omic profiling to identify immune signatures associated with COVID-19 outcomes and childhood respiratory diseases. Her team develops computational pipelines for integrating immunological datasets from global vaccine studies.

Dr. Arce leads data science initiatives for international consortia including the Human Immunology Project Consortium, where she established the Immune Data Resource compendium. Her work bridges computational biology with experimental immunology to advance precision vaccinology.
