Dr. Joanie Terrizzi serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Mind-Body Medicine at Saybrook University, part of the College of Integrative Medicine and Health Sciences. Her work bridges wellness practices with community-driven healing, focusing on mindfulness, grief support, and integrative health modalities. She holds a Ph.D. in Mind-Body Medicine from Saybrook (2020), an M.L.S. from Queens College (2007), and a B.A. from Barnard College (2005).
Dr. Terrizzi specializes in children's mindfulness practices, grief coaching, and end-of-life care. She is certified in integrative wellness coaching (ICF/NBHWC), clinical hypnosis, and death doula services. She previously served as president of the Midwest End-of-Life Doula Collective and currently volunteers with the Center for Conscious Living and Dying.
