JoAnne Mancini is an Associate Professor in History at Maynooth University. She previously held visiting roles, including the Terra Visiting Professorship at the John F. Kennedy Institute, Freie Universität Berlin (2021–2022). Her research bridges American art history with interdisciplinary topics like urban environments, migration, and policy, emphasizing global and transpacific perspectives. She has published extensively, including Art and War in the Pacific World (2018) and co-edited Architecture and Armed Conflict (2015). Mancini has received major awards such as the Royal Irish Academy membership (2022) and the Charles C. Eldredge Prize (2008). Her work appears in journals like American Quarterly and Journal of American History.
