Jing Jia

Dr. Jing Jia is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting at the Newcastle Business School, University of Newcastle, Australia. She holds a PhD from Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and a Bachelor of Business (First Class Honours) in Accounting. Prior to her current role, she was a Senior Lecturer at the University of Tasmania and a Lecturer at Massey University, New Zealand. She is a member of CPA Australia and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ).

Research Interests: Dr. Jia focuses on risk management, corporate social responsibility (CSR), corporate governance, and corporate finance. Her work explores topics such as sustainability disclosure mandates, opioid abuse impacts on corporate performance, and the role of risk management committees. Her research has been published in top journals including the Journal of Corporate Finance, British Accounting Review, and Journal of Contemporary Accounting & Economics.
