Jin Liu is an Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences at UNT System College of Pharmacy and member of the Institute for Healthy Aging. With a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Ohio State University and B.S. from Peking University, her lab integrates computational methods with pharmaceutical sciences to study protein allostery, CRISPR-Cas9 optimization, and AI-driven drug discovery.
Research develops algorithms for protein dynamics, drug-target interactions (e.g., COVID-19 therapeutics), and health disparities data analysis. Active grants include NHLBI funding for CRISPR specificity enhancement and NIGMS support for de novo drug design. Publications span Journal of Chemical Information and Modeling, PLoS Computational Biology, and PNAS.
