Xiaowei Dong

Xiaowei Dong is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the UNT System College of Pharmacy, University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC). She is also a member of the Institute for Healthy Aging. Her research focuses on developing novel drug delivery systems to enhance bioavailability of poorly soluble drugs and deliver macromolecules like siRNA and proteins. She evaluates formulations for therapeutic efficacy, pharmacokinetics, and biodistribution, with a particular emphasis on overcoming multidrug resistance mechanisms in cancer treatment.

Education:

• BS in Industrial Analysis
• MS in Applied Chemistry from East China University of Science and Technology
• PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Kentucky
