Jin Dai is a Research Fellow at the Department of Music, University College Cork (UCC). Currently affiliated with the ERC-funded project 'Everyone is a Curator: Digitally Empowering Ethnic Minority Music Sustainability in China' (ECura), his research focuses on media and communication, visual anthropology, cultural memory, heritage studies, and Chinese popular culture.
Previously, Dai earned a PhD in Media and Communication from Loughborough University (2023) and held a Postdoctoral Research Associate position at the University of Liverpool. His work bridges social sciences and cultural studies, with an emphasis on digital empowerment of ethnic minority music heritage in China.
Based at the School of Film, Music and Theatre, Dai contributes to interdisciplinary research initiatives at UCC, including collaborations through the Department of Music and the ECura project framework.
