Professor Jim Holmes is a faculty member at Loyola Marymount University's College of Communication and Fine Arts, specializing in Theatre Arts. He holds an MFA in Acting from California Institute of the Arts and a B.A. in Theatre and Speech from the University of South Carolina. Holmes focuses on teaching acting techniques rooted in Berghof and Meisner methods, emphasizing immersive classroom experiences such as mock auditions and role-playing. He directs theatrical productions, including Moises Kauffman’s 'The Laramie Project,' and recently led LMU Summer Programs' 'Acting for the Camera' course for high school students.
