Nick Anselmo

Nick Anselmo is a Teaching Professor and Theatre Program Director at Drexel University's Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts and Design. He serves as Producing Artistic Director for Theatre Performing Arts, teaching courses in Acting Fundamentals, Scene Study, Meisner Acting Technique, Musical Theater History, Play Direction, and Musical Theater Cabaret.

• BA in Speech/Theatre Education and Spanish, Elmhurst College

His research and practice focus on Applied Theatre and drama education, particularly through community engagement projects like the 'Under Pressure Series' addressing social issues in Chicago Public Schools and youth outreach programs at Passage Theatre Company. He has directed over a dozen stage productions at Drexel, including Be More Chill, ALiEN8, and The Laramie Project, while adapting soldier letters into original works like Vietnam: Letters and Remembrances with original compositions.

As an actor, Anselmo has performed Off-Broadway at the York Theatre and Ensemble Studio Theater, and regionally in roles spanning Richie Valens in Buddy to Biondello in Taming of the Shrew. He maintains affiliations with multiple theater companies including Pulse Ensemble and American Globe Theatre.
